Woonsocket Awning Co. has been crafting residential awnings in Rhode Island since 1926. The business was started over 90 years ago by Albert Durand.
Albert, a Canadian fox farmer, moved his family to the United States in 1924. Albert worked for Rhode Island Awning after the move and discovered a talent for the work. It wasn’t long until Albert started his own business, Woonsocket Awning Rhode Island. He later established the business under the name Woonsocket Awning Co.
Albert’s daughter and son in-law, Robert Pelliter, took over the business in 1955. The business was then passed on to Robert’s nephew, Charles Lepage.
Woonsocket Awning is now owned by Albert Durand’s great grandson in-law, David Dansereau. David learned all aspects of the business from Charles Lepage.
It’s worth having a read over Woonsocket Awning’s testimonial page. A loyal and expanding customer base rave about the quality of service that David offers.
